Second friendly, second victory

VfB Stuttgart won their JAKO friendly against amateur side FSV Hollenbach 5-0.

Match summary

As was expected, VfB dominated from the off against their sixth-tier opponents but initially lacked the necessary cutting edge up front. That all changed in the 24th minute, though, when Tiago Tomas opened the scoring.

Führich on target

Fabian Bredlow made a superb stop to prevent Peter Engelmann equalising ten minutes later, before the impressive Chris Führich put Sebastian Hoeneß’s men 2-0 up at half-time.

Goal-filled second half

Hoeneß replaced his entire team at the break, and as the match wore on, Hollenbach began to tire. VfB took full advantage, with further goals from Maximilian Mittelstädt,  Jovan Milosevic and Nikolas Nartey giving them a deserved 5-0 victory.
