VfB Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch has been nominated for the Golden Boy Web award, a spin-off of the prestigious Golden Boy award, which has been run by Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport since 2003 and is presented annually to the best under-21 player based in Europe.
All players born in 2006 or later are eligible for the award, with fans deciding the winner through rounds of voting.
Nine Bundesliga youngsters shortlisted
Jeltsch is one of nine Bundesliga players shortlisted for the award: Lennart Karl (FC Bayern München, Said El Mala (1. FC Köln), Assan Ouédraogo (RB Leipzig), Montrell Culbreath (Bayer Leverkusen), Karim Coulibaly (Werder Bremen), Wael Mohya ( Borussia Mönchengladbach), Francis Onyeka (SV Elversberg) and Kennet Eichhorn (Bayer Leverkusen).
The 19-year-old made 37 competitive appearances for the Cannstatt side last season, including 23 in the Bundesliga, 10 in the UEFA Europa League and four in the DFB Cup. He is also currently part of Germany’s Under-21 squad.
