Cannstatt Colours: The new 2026/2027 away jersey

VfB is firmly rooted in Bad Cannstatt, and the new away jersey – the third instalment of Stuttgart’s tribute to the district – pays a striking homage to the relationship between club and region.

We’ve had Culture, Couture, and now Colours. VfB Stuttgart’s new away kit for the 2026/27 season completes its three-part tribute to Bad Cannstatt. When purchasing the jersey, fans and members can look forward to embarking on a special journey through familiar landmarks of VfB’s home district. Like the club’s new home and third kits, the away jersey was created in close collaboration with kit supplier JAKO and main sponsor LBBW. Water utility company Netze BW Wasser GmbH – a subsidiary of energy supplier EnBW – helped organise a photoshoot at one of Stuttgart’s famous reservoirs for its official unveiling.

VfB’s home is regarded as Stuttgart’s oldest district, with the first historical mention of Cannstatt coming in 700 AD. Its eventful history and rich cultural heritage can be enjoyed in multiple places, from the Kurpark to the Wilhelma zoo and botanical gardens. Those famous landmarks – much like the city’s abundant mineral water reserves – help shape the identity of its residents, and indeed VfB Stuttgart 1893, which has been based almost exclusively in Cannstatt since its foundation. This deep bond is reflected in the new away jersey, which will accompany VfB on their travels this season.

Classic jersey with retro elements

The Cannstatt city colours of red and white form the basis of this classic VfB away kit, which naturally features the famous ‘Brustring’. The high-quality, embroidered crest is deliberately larger than usual and, along with the white and red collar, creates a retro effect – which is aided by the retro JAKO logo and the absence of the kit supplier’s characteristic dots on the shoulders.

The fabric of the shirt features a unique woven pattern, which is inspired by the components of Cannstatt mineral water and provides a high level of comfort. The design also features certain elements of the home jersey, including on the embroidered cuffs. Last but not least, the Bad Cannstatt coat of arms on the back blends seamlessly into the overall design, adding another layer to this latest tribute to VfB’s home district.

We represent VfB Stuttgart on our travels through the country’s cities and stadiums by way of our teams, our fans and our values.

Karsten Petry, VfB board member for marketing and sales, said: “We represent VfB Stuttgart on our travels through the country’s cities and stadiums by way of our teams, our fans and our values. Along with JAKO and our partners, we’ve created a classic, beautiful jersey which is unique in its colours and design – and suits VfB perfectly. Thanks to this away kit, we’ll always carry a little piece of home with us, one which everyone can see.”

Made largely from recycled materials

All adult and children’s sizes are now available online as well as in the VfB fan shops at the MHP Arena, in Stuttgart city centre and in the Breuningerland shopping centre in Ludwigsburg. The shirts have been produced to JAKO’s usual first-class standards and from mostly recycled materials.
