“We covered the extra ground”

Waldemar Anton: “It was a difficult game playing a man down, but the whole team worked well and covered the extra ground. That was the reason we won today.”

Atakan Karazor: “We showed that we’re also willing to battle and we’re happy that we won. We knew Darmstadt would play lots of long balls forward and they did so very well. We didn’t defend those balls well, though. After the sending-off we knew we would have to fight, and we did exactly that.”
