Pellegrino Matarazzo, VfB head coach: “We’re happy to take the point home. We were good, even very good, in the first half, and overall the game was played at a very high level. Towards the end of the second half we struggled a bit, and we felt the full force of Frankfurt’s quality. You can’t really defend against the goal they scored. Ultimately, it was a mature performance from us and a deserved point.”
Sasa Kalajdzic: “We played against a very strong side today – they’re competing for the Champions League places. Overall we played well. We had a bit more control in our game in the first half, and after the break Frankfurt put us under pressure at times. We rode our luck one or two times. We can be pleased with the point.”
Marc Oliver Kempf: “We’re happy with the point. We gave it our all until the very end, had our chances and also put together some moves that could have led to more opportunities, but they petered out. Apart from the last 10 minutes, we were always in the game.”
