Hannes Wolf: "What went on here today clearly mirrored the past few weeks for us. We were so close – but have nothing to show for that! Chadrac Akolo took on the responsibility of the penalty – so I’ll not be making any accusations against him. We played with some good aggression, without ever being unfair. We didn’t get every situation defended, as that’s just not possible for us, but we did defend a lot. After we conceded, we then risked everything. The penalty was our reward for that effort, but we failed to make it count. We now go into the latter half of the season in a difficult, but not unsolvable situation. We will rise to that!"
Simon Terodde: "We played really well here today. It’s real shame we didn’t manage to reward ourselves for the effort we put in even in the first-half. It’s bitterly disappointing that we didn’t take the chance to equalise so close to the end."
Ron-Robert Zieler: "We are naturally massively disappointed, because the whole team performed really well and worked very effectively. Even after going behind, we displayed character and refused to throw in the towel – that’s something we must take from this game."
