Hannes Wolf: "I am very satisfied with the game and the result. Due to the warm temperatures, the conditions were very, very difficult – that considered though, it was a really good match. We didn’t let much through today and, at the same time, created a lot going forward. On the whole, I am satisfied with our performances in every area of the pitch, with the exception of a couple of situations which we should have used better and got more shots away. The stadium was there – you can really feel the connection between the fans and the team. The fans provided the energy that drove us on today."
Holger Badstuber: "Today was the perfect start in front of our home fans and the atmosphere was incredible. At the end of the day though, it was just three points. We must continue working on our balance and make use of the international break. It was great to have been able to help the team with my goal."
Simon Terodde: "We really wanted to be successful in our first home game and prove to everyone that we can win in the Bundesliga. It was a good performance overall, we allowed very little through at the back and, particularly in the second-half, won a lot of the ball. I really have to praise our entire defence – they did the job exceptionally well today. Of course I am frustrated to have missed the penalty – that could have decided the game at that point, but all that really counts is that we won the game today."
