VfB Stuttgart have further bolstered their squad for the 2026/27 season by signing Dzenan Pejcinovic. The 21-year-old striker joins from VfL Wolfsburg on a contract valid until 30 June 2031, having scored 12 goals in 39 competitive outings for the Wolves.
Dzenan Pejcinovic:
Now I want to settle in as quickly as possible and contribute my part to a successful season with VfB.
Dzenan Pejcinovic said: “I can’t wait to get going at VfB, I’m really looking forward to it. I already know a few of my new team-mates from the Germany youth set-up. I had very good talks with the club management, so it didn’t take me long to decide once I heard of VfB’s interest in me. Now I want to settle in as quickly as possible and contribute my part to a successful season with VfB.”
Fabian Wohlgemuth, board member for sport at VfB, said: “We agreed very early on that we wanted to sign Dzenan Pejcinovic. He has everything needed to become a valuable attacking option right away, but at the same time he’s a young player and still has a lot of untapped potential. It’s also a great sign that such a coveted player on the transfer market decided to join us. That underlines the steady upwards trend at VfB Stuttgart in the last few years.”
Pejcinovic has both German and Montenegrin citizenship. After playing for Montenegro’s U15s, he has represented Germany at every youth level since the U16s, registering 41 goals and ten assists across a total of 49 appearances. He is currently part of Germany’s U21 squad and has featured six times in qualifying for the 2027 European U21 Championship.
