The training camp can now begin, with VfB having arrived in Grassau. On the morning of Monday 3 August 2026, head coach Sebastian Hoeneß’s squad set off from the Mercedesstraße in Cannstatt on a 330-kilometre journey to the team hotel, where they will be staying until Friday 7 August 2026. A particularly intensive period of preparations for the new season awaits them in Bavaria.
Open training sessions
The squad will be training at ASV Grassau’s facilities, and fans are more than welcome to attend all sessions, which will be open to the public. Grassau is familiar territory for players and supporters alike, with VfB having held their training camps in the area in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
