VfB Stuttgart are set to be without Dennis Seimen and Justin Diehl for an extended period of time after both players suffered muscle injuries in training, ruling them out until the international break at the end of September at the very least. Goalkeeper Seimen has picked up a hamstring injury, while attacking player Diehl has damaged a muscle on the front of his thigh.
Board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth:
“It’s definitely bad news, as it’s already clear that Dennis and Justin won’t be available for the first part of the season. As is known, we’d more or less completed our goalkeeping team for the coming campaign. We have plenty of quality in that department, even without Dennis, but we still need to discuss whether to dip back into the transfer market in the coming days.”
