What an honour for Deniz Undav! The VfB striker came out on top in the DFL voting for Bundesliga Player of the Month for March 2026. The 29-year-old finished ahead of the other nominees Paul Nebel (1. FSV Mainz 05), Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig), Hennes Behrens (1. FC Heidenheim), Konstantinos Koulierakis (VfL Wolfsburg) and Igor Matanović (SC Freiburg).
“I would like to thank everyone who voted for me,” said Undav. “I’m very proud of the award and I’ll be aiming to win another one before the season comes to a close.”
VfB’s current top scorer found the back of the net in all four Bundesliga matches in March, has a goal in each of his last six league games and rounded off the month by scoring the winner in Germany’s 2-1 win over Ghana in Stuttgart.
