Philipp Förster has left VfB Stuttgart and joined Bundesliga rivals VfL Bochum. The 27-year-old made 20 appearances in the league for VfB last season, scoring twice. The midfielder was under contract at VfB until 30 June 2023, but an agreement has been reached with Bochum over an immediate transfer.
Förster made a total of 76 competitive appearances in the white and red shirt, registering eight goals and seven assists. VfB thank Förster for his time with the club and wish him all the best for the future.

He was also one of our key players in the subsequent Bundesliga campaign. Last season didn’t go as well for Philipp, partly because of illness and injury.
