The French full-back is joining VfB ahead of the new season from Ligue 1 side Rennes, signing a contract through to 2029.

Lorenz Assignon is VfB’s first new signing for the 2025/26 season. Having picked up some tips from Anthony Rouault and watched the Bundesliga on TV, he’s now starting to learn German.
