The efficiency in the first half was crucial: we took our chances and had some brilliantly worked finishes. We’re pleased with our performance and with the three points.”
Deniz Undav: “We were determined to show a reaction after the exit from the Europa League. We took that anger with us into this game and stamped our authority from the beginning. We scored the goals at really good times. The Augsburg goals made it unnecessarily interesting again, but it was great how we reacted to that as a team and always had a riposte up our sleeves, in that we stayed calm and managed to score again ourselves.”
Angelo Stiller: “The win feels good. After some really tiring weeks with a lot of matches, we left everything out there again today. We covered a lot of kilometres and kept creating chances. It was a strong team performance. The early lead helped. We’re happy about the three points.”
