Nico Willig: "We desperately needed these points, so we're delighted to have won. We also had luck on our side today when Gladbach had a clear chance to score in the third minute, but at the same time Ron[-Robert Zieler]'s save sent out a signal to the team. That pushed us forward and we then played with great intensity. We either pressed early or defended deep. The boys did brilliantly."
Anasatasios Donis: "We played aggressively today, we gave 100 per cent and deserved to win. You saw a different team today from the one that played last week. Now we have to keep going like this."
Andreas Beck: "We played with a very experienced midfield. We wanted to play very directly and put a lot of balls behind their defence. That's how we got our goal. After losing 6-0 to Augsburg last week we needed courage and desire today if we were going to get anything from the game. Overall, this win is a very good way to round off a turbulent week."
