Hannes Wolf: "We are disappointed. That was probably our worst game of the season so far here today. We never had the necessary bite in our game. We started the second-half just as poorly as we had done at the beginning of the game, which is why we then quickly conceded. On the whole, we allowed too many chances through and duly deserved to lose."
Ron-Robert Zieler: "The weather conditions today were unbelievable. Mainz just dealt with them better than we did. They fought harder and did better in the challenges. For the first and third goals, the ball took a strange swerve, but they were both shots I naturally should have saved. I had some very good moments today, but also moments which I should have dealt with differently."
Dennis Aogo: "We never really got into the game, but we weren’t completely without our chances. In the first 30 minutes, it was a very open game, with chances at either end. We really should have taken our lead into the break. The second-half was disappointing. Today we blew the opportunity to open up a gap between ourselves and Mainz in the table – that’s frustrating. We need to analyse this game now and continue working."
