Tim Walter, VfB head coach: "We were too slow and unfocused today. It felt like we were trying to win the game by only giving 80 per cent. The boys are self-critical enough to know that they can do better, though. I'm happy with the period of the game between it being 1-1 and us making it 3-1, but obviously I'm not satisfied with their second goal late on. At the end of the day we deserved to win, but it was a difficult day for us."
Marc Oliver Kempf: "Ultimately it's the three points that count, regardless of how you get them. The game was effectively over when we made it 3-1, but we conceded again far too easily. We can't allow that to happen; we need to be more consistent."
Holger Badstuber: "We're happy with the three points, but we should've been more compact in the closing stages and seen the game out in a more composed way. I'm happy with my goal, although I'd have preferred to keep a clean sheet. We need to keep working hard."
