Jens Grahl coming – Przemyslaw Tyton departs

A home-grown VfB talent returns to the club.

Jens Grahl is to make a free transfer to VfB Stuttgart. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who wore the VfB colours as a youth team player, was most recently under contract at TSG Hoffenheim, for whom he made twelve Bundesliga appearances. Stuttgart born Jens Grahl has signed a two-year deal with the Cannstatt Boys and will wear the number 13 jersey.

VfB head-coach Jos Luhukay:
"In Jens Grahl, we have signed a goalkeeper who is familiar with vfB from his time in the youth teams. He has also gathered professional experience at a number of clubs in Germany."

Jens Grahl:

"I am really looking forward to wearing the VfB shirt again and I want to play my part in helping the team secure a quick re-promotion to the Bundesliga."

A future in Spain: Przemyslaw Tyton

Przemyslaw Tyton, on the other hand, is to immediately part company with VfB and makes a move to Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna. The details of the deal remain undisclosed. The 29-year-old goalkeeper moved to VfB from PSV Eindhoven last summer and made a total of 30 Bundesliga appearances for the club. The man capped 14 times by the Polish national team was also involved in three DFB-Cup games for VfB.

Jochen Röttgermann, Director of Marketing and Sales:
"Together with those in charge of the sporting elements, we came to the conclusion that a change was needed in the goalkeeper position. We came to know Przemyslaw Tyton as a very ambitious and reliable keeper, who we would like to thank for his efforts at VfB. We naturally wish him all the very best for his private and professional future."

Przemyslaw Tyton:

"We had naturally expected a very different course of events on a sporting level last season than was ultimately the case. However, I would like to express my gratitude to VfB, as well as the fans, and wish them all the best for an immediate promotion."
