Christopher Olivier spent four years at VfB Stuttgart, having joined the club from Austrian side AKA Vorarlberg in summer 2022. The right-footed defender represented the U17, U19 and U21 teams at the VfB academy, and also won several youth caps for his native Austria during that period, most recently for the U21s.
Stephan Hildebrandt, director of VfB’s youth academy, said: “Christopher Olivier came to VfB from Vorarlberg is 2022 and has gradually developed into a major talent for us over the past four years – as well as becoming a mainstay for Austria at youth level. For many years, he was one of those typical young players on the cusp of the first team, and always striving to take the next step. Now, Chris is taking that step away from VfB. This is a natural part of a development process that doesn’t always end in a player joining our own first team, but ideally allows the player to forge his own path.
“We hope this step proves a successful one and that he can realise his dream of playing first-team football.”
Thank you for your commitment to VfB, Chris, and all the best for the future!
