Thursday 25 June saw the launch of another VfB charity campaign, with the Cannstatt club donating no fewer than 10,000 VfBfairplay face masks to care facilities, hospitals and social services providers throughout the region. VfB’s aim is once again to support the use of the necessary protective measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and also to thank those people, who have been doing important and unstinting work on behalf of society, for their tireless commitment during what have been very difficult times.
President Claus Vogt took the opportunity to visit three care institutions personally and was overcome by the reaction he received, and made sure to thank all of those involved, underlining the commitment of the healthcare professionals: “VfB Stuttgart is well aware of how important the work is that you are doing, in particular in the recent weeks when you were not allowed to stay at home but continued to provide services for people. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts,” the president said.
