Yannik Keitel will wear the FC Augsburg shirt again in the 2026/27 campaign, after VfB agreed a season-long loan move for the midfielder with their Bundesliga rivals. Keitel, who is under contract at VfB until 30 June 2028, already played six times for the Bavarians in the Bundesliga in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
Keitel moved to Stuttgart from SC Freiburg in summer 2024. Since then, he has made 20 appearances in all competitions in the white and red shirt – 11 in the Bundesliga, four in the UEFA Champions League, two in the DFB Cup, one in the DFL Supercup as well as two in the 3. Liga for the VfB reserve team. He won the cup with Sebastian Hoeneß’s side in the 2024/25 campaign.
