Noah Darvich joins SV Elversberg on loan

The 19-year-old attacker will spend the season in Elversberg with a view to aiding his development in professional football.

Noah Darvich played a significant role in the U21 side avoiding relegation from the third division in 2025/26 by registering ten goals and six assists. Now, the 19-year-old attacker, whose contract at VfB runs until 30 June 2029, will have the opportunity to continue his development in the Bundesliga after a season-long loan move to newly promoted side SV Elversberg was agreed for 2026/27.

Fabian Wohlgemuth, VfB board member for sport, said: “Noah was one of the standout players across the whole of the 3. Liga last season and his performances played a major role in our U21s’ successful campaign. As with other young players, a loan move makes a lot of sense for Noah, allowing him to be challenged at a high level and gain valuable experience. SV Elversberg are an excellent club for that. We wish Noah and Elversberg all the best for the coming season and we will be following Noah’s progress closely.”

Named as ‘Newcomer of the Season’

Darvich joined VfB from the FC Barcelona reserves in summer 2025. He swiftly became a pillar of the U21 side in the third division, shouldering responsibility and amassing 16 direct goal contributions. At the end of the campaign he was voted as ‘Newcomer of the Season’ by the league’s coaches, captains and fans.

Darvich has earned 43 caps for Germany’s youth teams so far. He made his debut for the U20s in 2025/26, scoring twice in two appearances, and was also called up to the U21s in March 2026. His biggest achievements at international level to date arrived in 2023, when he won both the U-17 World Cup and the European Under-17 Championship.

VfB would like to wish Noah a restful summer break and then every success for the 2026/27 season
