Before returning to training on Thursday 16 July, the VfB Stuttgart players are undergoing a series of performance tests on Monday and Tuesday. Goalkeeper Dennis Seimen, who was assessed at 07:30 CEST on Monday morning, was one of the first members of the senior squad to undergo his examinations.
Seimen: “I’m pleased to be back here”
“I’m pleased to be back here and really looking forward to everything that lies ahead for us as a team,” said Seimen, who spent last season in the second tier with SC Paderborn.
Mittelstädt: “All part of the process”
Full-back Maximilian Mittelstädt added: “After the summer break, it’s nice to see all these familiar faces and your team-mates again. These first two days tend to be really exhausting, but the performance tests are all part of the process. I remained active while I was on holiday and am looking forward to getting back to work with my team-mates.”
The players will train on the pitch for the first time this Thursday. The session at the VfB Club Centre is due to get under way at 15:00 CEST.
