VfB Stuttgart were handed a trip to newly promoted Bundesliga side SC Paderborn in the DFB Cup second-round draw, which took place on Saturday evening.
“As is always the case in the cup, we would have preferred to play at home,” said VfB board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth. “It’s not that long ago that we faced SC Paderborn in the cup and only just managed to make it through to the next round. So we know we’ll have to be on our guard, but we’re heading to Paderborn with the clear aim of reaching the last 16.”
The second round of the DFB Cup will be played on Tuesday 27 October and Wednesday 28 October 2026. The exact dates and kick-off times will be announced shortly.
