Jovan Milosevic is taking the next step in his development and will remain in the Bundesliga over the coming months. VfB have agreed a loan deal with SV Werder Bremen until the end of the current 2025/26 campaign. The 20-year-old has just returned from a year-long loan spell at FK Partizan Belgrade in his native Serbia, where he registered 19 goals and five assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.
At the same time, VfB have extended Milosevic’s contract, originally set until 30 June 2027, by two more years. The Serbian’s new deal runs until 30 June 2029.
“We’ve extended Jovan’s contract because we’re very pleased with his progress,” explained VfB board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth. “The last year in Belgrade in particular was very encouraging and has shown that Jovan is on the right track. In Bremen he should and can take the next steps. We wish him all the best for that and will continue to follow his performances closely.”
Milosevic moved to Stuttgart from Serbian club FK Vojvodina Novi Sad in summer 2023. After five Bundesliga appearances and one DFB Cup outing, the forward joined FC St. Gallen on loan in February 2024, scoring five goals and providing two assists for the Swiss side. That was followed by the one-year loan move to Partizan. During his time in Belgrade, Milosevic made his senior debut for the Serbian national team in November 2025. He previously played 31 games at youth level for his home country, registering 17 goals and eight assists.
