Just like last year, VfB Stuttgart will kick off the new season with an away fixture. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side will travel to Union Berlin for their opening game of the Bundesliga campaign (22-24 August).
As VfB’s DFB Cup first-round clash in Braunschweig is scheduled for Tuesday 26 August (kick-off 20:45 CEST), their Bundesliga Matchday 1 assignment in Berlin will take place on Saturday 23 August, either at 15:30 CEST or 18:30 CEST.
The team’s first home game will be the following weekend (29-31 August) against Borussia Mönchengladbach. After the first international break of the season, VfB will face SC Freiburg away (12-14 September) before FC St. Pauli visit the MHP Arena (19-21 September).
The second half of the season will begin on 16 January 2026, following on directly from the Matchday 17 fixtures.
