Justin Diehl suffered an ankle ligament injury in VfB’s Jako friendly against SV Fellbach, as confirmed by a comprehensive MRI scan. As a result, the attacker is now sidelined for the time being and is unable to participate in team training. If all goes well with the 20-year-old‘s recovery, he should return to training towards the end of July and travel with the squad to the training camp at Tegernsee and continue his rehabilitation there.
Finn Jeltsch, meanwhile, had to be substituted off against SV Fellbach with an adductor complaint, but an MRI scan revealed no structural damage. The defender will work individually over the coming days and return to full training when he is pain free.
