Jaquez looking forward to “hectic schedule”

After an exciting week away with the Swiss national team, Luca Jaquez is back in Bad Cannstatt and preparing for a busy block of fixtures with VfB.

Seven games in three weeks

Luca Jaquez and his VfB team-mates are gearing up for a period of seven competitive matches between now and the beginning of November.

In addition to four Bundesliga assignments against Wolfsburg (away), Mainz (home), Leipzig (away) and Augsburg (home), Sebastian Hoeneß’s side will travel to Mainz for their DFB Cup second-round tie, as well as take on Fenerbahce (away) and Feyenoord (home) in the UEFA Europa League.

“It’s going to be a hectic schedule,” said Luca Jaquez. “You don’t really do much training because there are just so many games, but it’s a lot of fun. We’re facing some tough opponents but we want to carry our momentum from the last few weeks with us, and pick up as many points as possible. We’ll give it everything we’ve got.”
