Deniz Undav is set for a spell on the sidelines. The striker was injured in the early stages of the opening home match of the new Bundesliga season against Borussia Mönchengladbach (1-0) and had to be replaced in the 14th minute. An MRI scan has revealed that he sustained a medial collateral ligament tear in his left knee. The 29-year-old is expected to be out of action for VfB for around four to six weeks.
