The DFB Cup draw on Sunday afternoon handed VfB Stuttgart a semi-final tie at home to SC Freiburg.
“We’re delighted to have a home match – that can be a decisive factor on the road to Berlin,” said Fabian Wohlgemuth, VfB’s board member for sport. “We have fond memories of our most recent Bundesliga meeting with SC Freiburg, but at the same time we’re well aware of the quality in their squad.”
The semi-final will take place on 21 or 22 April 2026. The other last-four fixture will be between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. The DFB will announce the exact kick-off times for both matches in due course. The final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin is scheduled for Saturday 23 May 2026.
As usual, VfB will provide timely information regarding ticket sales for the DFB Cup semi-final.
