Angelo Stiller suffered a partial tear of the lateral ligament in his left ankle during Wednesday’s training session. The injury was confirmed by an MRI scan on Thursday.
The midfielder will play no part in training in the coming days but will not leave VfB’s training camp ahead of schedule. Recovery measures and Stiller’s subsequent return to rehabilitative training will depend on his symptoms and discomfort levels. He is unlikely to be available for the friendlies against Toulouse and Bologna.
