Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß: “It was a strong team performance, which makes me happy and proud. We were in charge from the start in the first half, had a lot of control and also found a lot of openings in the final third. It was important for us to keep that up in the second half, and the boys did that very well. We didn’t allow Wolfsburg the chance to come back into it.”
Maximilian Mittelstädt: “The team is the man of the match. Every individual put in a very good performance. It feels good to have won this away fixture and also to have kept a clean sheet. It was a very convincing performance from the word go. We’ve had similar games where we’ve dominated, but this time we also got the right result and got the reward. That’s a really good foundation that we have to build on.”
Tiago Tomás: “We had a few problems away from home in the early matches but it’s been going better and better recently. Our performance today was really good, convincing and clear.
