Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß: “It was a wild ride, Köln caused us real problems. We got off to the worst possible start and fell behind. After that, we gradually worked our way into the game. It was open until the end, maybe a game that had draw written over it – with a lot of set pieces. We managed to land the knockout blow in the closing stages. I’m proud of the team for getting three wins in this busy period. A lot of players have been involved in these performances and these results, which makes me very happy. We want to continue on this path.”
Atakan Karazor: “It was a hard-fought win. We played very well and didn’t let ourselves be intimidated by the crowd, but instead stuck to our game. I’m proud of the team and our performance. I’m especially pleased for Josha Vagnoman that he scored the winning goal and put in a really good performance to boot. We’ve started a winning streak this week.”
Jeff Chabot: “Everyone ran for each other, fought, threw themselves into the tackles. We earned this win together. It’s fun the way we were there for each other on the pitch. I’m very happy that we got the three points.”
