Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß: “It was an intensive and hard-fought game with some really tough tackling. The boys didn’t shy away from that at all. We applied greater pressure in the second half so I think it would have been fair overall if we’d won. I’m proud of my team for what they’ve achieved in the first half of the season, and in 2025 as a whole.”
Deniz Undav: “We created some chances but it could have been more. Ultimately we kept a clean sheet at the back and picked up a point, so it’s ok, but we obviously wanted to finish the year with a win. It’s a shame we weren’t able to. After my header went in I was already off celebrating, but then unfortunately I heard the whistle. We’ve had a good first half of the season overall, we’re still in all three competitions, and in the new year we want to keep going with maximum energy.”
Maximilian Mittelstädt: “It was an even and intensive game for long periods. I think we had the better chances, so it’s a shame we weren’t able to get a winner. We’ll have to live with the point. On the whole the first half of the season has been good. We’re still in all three competitions and have put ourselves in a good position going into the new year. It’s been an intensive campaign so far, so it’ll do us good to have a few days off to recharge the batteries.”
