“The dream of another DFB Cup final in Berlin has finally come true for us,” said VfB CEO Alexander Wehrle. “We’re pleased to be able to hold a public viewing in the heart of our city and we want to celebrate a peaceful, emotional and successful festival of football together with our fans.”
Open from 15:00, free entry
The public viewing allows football fans to watch the final live on the big screen on Schlossplatz. It will open at 15:00 CEST and admission is free. In conjunction with SWR (Südwestrundfunk), the fans in Stuttgart can look forward to an enjoyable programme in the build-up to the final, led by presenter Stefanie Anhalt. The match in Berlin kicks off at 20:00 CEST – the broadcast on Schlossplatz will come from ZDF – but beforehand there’ll be regular live switches to the capital to show the pre-match atmosphere.
Schlossplatz can accommodate 35,000 fans for public viewing and offers comprehensive catering and sanitary facilities. The event will end at midnight.
With high volumes of traffic expected, visitors to the public viewing are advised to arrive early, ideally using public transport or the park & ride services.
