Luca Pfeiffer is leaving VfB and moving to SV Elversberg ahead of the new season. The forward played on loan for Karlsruher SC in the season just gone and registered three assists in 17 appearances in the league and cup. His contract with the Cannstatt club was originally valid until 30 June 2026.
Fabian Wohlgemuth, VfB board member for sport, said: “Luca was hampered by an injury for a while, which meant last season didn’t exactly go as he wished. The move to Elversberg now offers him the opportunity to get back to his best at an ambitious club. We wish Luca all the best for the future.”
Pfeiffer arrived in Stuttgart from Danish top-flight side FC Midtjylland in summer 2022 and made 24 appearances in all competitions for VfB. The 28-year-old Baden-Württemberg native registered two goals and two assists in the white and red shirt.
