Josha Vagnoman and Nikolas Nartey are unavailable to VfB for the time being. Vagnoman has to be managed individually in the coming weeks because of a stress reaction in the metatarsal and can therefore not participate in team training. If it heals as expected, the 22-year-old could be fit again in mid-September.
With Nikolas Nartey, scans revealed damage to the cartilage in the knee joint. The midfielder is currently expected to be out until at least the end of the year. A more detailed assessment will be possible after the surgery which will be carried out in the coming weeks.
