As one season ends, another begins. At VfB Stuttgart, planning is currently under way for the 2023/24 preseason, which will start on the pitch on Thursday 6 July with the first team training session,
The first friendly is confirmed for 9 July in Schwäbisch Hall, where VfB will take on a Hohenlohe XI at 15:00 CEST. A special friendly match will take place on 15 July in Reutlingen: VfB play SSV Reutlingen to celebrate 70 years of the Stadion an der Kreuzeiche (also 15:00 CEST).
Two days later, head coach Sebastian Hoeneß and his squad will travel to Neukirchen, in Austria, for a training camp from 17 to 23 July. A friendly is planned during the camp, with more information to follow.
The first competitive fixture of the season will be in the first round of the DFB Cup between 11 and 14 August, where TSG Balingen are the opponents. The opening Bundesliga matchday is scheduled for the following weekend, from 18 to 20 August.
