Leipzig forward Timo Werner faces his former club on Friday. Werner returned to RB, whom he initially joined from VfB in 2016, at the beginning of the current campaign after two years with English Premier League side Chelsea. The Germany international has scored 10 goals for Leipzig in all competitions this season.

VfB goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow, meanwhile, joined RB’s U19 side in 2012 before signing for Hallescher FC in 2015.

In Christopher Nkunku, Leipzig have the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer in their ranks.
