Philipp Klement has agreed a move to 1. FC Kaiserslautern from VfB Stuttgart with immediate effect. The 29-year-old was part of Kaiserslautern’s youth academy between 2004 and 2011. He arrived in Stuttgart in summer 2019 but spent the second half of last season on loan at SC Paderborn 07 in Bundesliga 2.
The midfielder scored two goals in 24 Bundesliga appearances for VfB, as well as making a further four outings in the DFB Cup and 19 in Bundesliga 2, contributing to the club’s promotion back to the top flight in 2019/20.
