There was good news for VfB and Chris Führich on Sunday, as it was confirmed the attacker had not sustained a serious knee injury away to TSG Hoffenheim on Friday. The 24-year-old merely suffered an inflammation of the joint capsule and will be taking things a little easier in training in the coming days. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit for VfB’s home match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday 5 March.
The same goes for Orel Mangala, who suffered a bruised thigh in the defeat to Hoffenheim. Defender Pascal Stenzel, however, is likely to miss Saturday’s match after picking up a pulled calf muscle on Friday.
