VfB midfielder Philipp Klement has joined Bundesliga 2 side SC Paderborn on loan until the end of the season. The 29-year-old returns to the club that he joined VfB from in 2019. Klement, who is under contract at Stuttgart until 30 June 2023, has made 47 appearances in the white and red shirt over the last two and a half years, registering two goals and seven assists.
VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat: “Philipp hasn’t had much playing time with us recently, so the loan move to SC Paderborn is a very sensible step for him in order to get back into a regular playing rhythm again. We wish Philipp all the best for the coming months and we’ll be paying close attention to his matches with SC Paderborn.”
