Midfielder Leonhard Münst has been loaned out with immediate effect to St. Gallen. The loan will run until 30 June 2022 with no option to buy for the Swiss club. The youth-team product has been with VfB since 2013 and last season made 10 appearances for the club’s U21s in the Regionallliga. Born and bred in Stuttgart, Münst recently signed a long-term professional contract with the club that will keep him in VfB colours until 30 June 2025.
“We believe that Leo is going to develop in a very positive way, which is why we have secured his future with VfB for the long term," said VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat. “This is a very good opportunity for him to take the next step in his development and to gain valuable experience. St. Gallen is one of the stand-out clubs in Swiss football and we are convinced that all sides will gain a lot from the loan deal.”
