With preparations for VfB’s first game of the second half of the season at SpVgg Greuther Fürth in full swing, the mood and the work rate in training are good. “The lads are feeling great,” said Atakan Karazor, who had a quiet start to the year during the short winter break. “We’ve obviously all had our running and resilience sessions. I think everyone performed them diligently because we all want to make a good start to the second half of the season.”
Karazor is in no mood to underestimate Fürth despite VfB’s 5-1 win on home soil in their opening league game of the campaign. “We know what it’s like to play in that stadium in Fürth,” added the 25-year-old. “It’ll definitely be a difficult game and one that we’re not taking lightly.”
Accordingly, VfB’s preparations in recent days have included tactical and defensive adjustments – all while maintaining a high intensity to ensure they make the best possible start to the second half of the season.
