VfB Stuttgart have agreed to sell Ailton to FC Midtjylland. The 25-year-old Brazilian, whose contract was due to expire on 30 June 2021, has joined the Danish outfit with immediate effect.
Ailton signed for VfB from Portuguese side Estoril Praia in July 2017 and went on to make five Bundesliga appearances during the 2017/18 campaign. After rejoining Estoril on loan in January 2018, the left-back moved to SC Braga on a 12-month loan the following summer. He signed another year-long loan deal in July 2019, this time with FK Qarabag.
