Steffen Krebs is joining VfB from Borussia Mönchengladbach as first-team goalkeeping coach ahead of the new season. The 38-year-old previously worked as a goalkeeping coach for the youth academy at VfB before going on to TSG Hoffenheim and Gladbach. His contract at VfB runs until 30 June 2025.
“In Steffen Krebs, not only have we acquired an excellent goalkeeping coach but also a real VfB man,” said sporting director Sven Mislintat. “After his spell at VfB, Steffen has gained a lot of valuable experience at Hoffenheim and Mönchengladbach, developing into one of the most respected goalkeeping coaches in the Bundesliga. We’re very pleased that Steffen has chosen us, and delighted to be welcoming him back to VfB.”
