Two Friday and six Saturday kick-offs

Kick-offs times have been decided for Bundesliga Matchdays 1–8, with VfB getting their campaign under way on Saturday 19 September at 15:30 CEST with a home tie against SC Freiburg.

The next three games – away to 1. FSV Mainz 05 (26 September), at home to Bayer 04 Leverkusen (3 October) and away to Hertha BSC (17 October) – are also Saturday 15:30 CEST kick-offs.

Then come two Friday evening 20:30 local time starts – at home to 1. FC Köln (23 October) and away to Schalke on 30 October. The lads from Canstatt will then be back to Saturday 15:30 CET kick-offs, at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Mercedes-Benz Arena on 7 November and away to Baden-Württemberg rivals TSG Hoffenheim in a local derby on 21 November.

A week before the Bundesliga gets started, VfB will play their first match of the 2020/21 season in the DFB Cup on a date yet to be confirmed between 11 – 14 September. A trip to the winners of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Regional Cup awaits them.
