Tanguy Coulibaly on…
…his second season at VfB:
“I’m going into my second year in Stuttgart now. My first one went well – I was made welcome here, I learned the language and we achieved our aim for the season by getting promoted. Now we’re looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga.”
…pre-season and the team’s final friendly of the summer:
“We’ve worked very hard and intensively over the last few weeks. I’m really looking forward to playing against a French team on Saturday. The main thing is to be facing a tough opponent ahead of our first competitive game in the cup.”
Peter Reichert on…
…Coulibaly’s potential and development:
“Tanguy already speaks German well – he understands a lot and doesn’t really need my help anymore during the team meetings. He’s an intelligent lad and a good guy. Tanguy’s doing well: he’s got bags of talent, is very quick and has plenty of tricks in his locker. He’s got a lot of the qualities that good attacking players need. Obviously he still needs to learn a lot but he’s young and eager to learn.”
...his former club and upcoming friendly opponents Racing Strasbourg:
“They might have lost their first couple of games in Ligue 1, but they’ve been in the top flight for three years and have established themselves there. That’s why I think Strasbourg will be a good test for us ahead of our first competitive outing in the cup.”
