Young guns Luca Mack and Lilian Egloff got the ball rolling at 7.30 am on Thursday, with the pair being the first to carry out their individual performance tests in preparation for the 2020/21 Bundesliga season. As the day went on, all VfB players underwent performance diagnostics tests on a running machine at the SpOrt Medizin Stuttgart facilities.
The players were looking happy, highly motivated and excited about the new season after their four-week summer break. “I spent the free time with my family, but now I’m delighted that we’re back in action again. I can’t wait for my first Bundesliga match,” said 23-year-old striker Sasa Kalajdzic to VfB TV.
After this Thursday’s performance tests, Pellegrino Matarazzo’s men will hit the pitch on Monday for the first time. The first team training session will begin at 15:00 CEST and will be shown live on VfB TV via the various VfB channels.
Important notice
Due to the current situation with COVID-19, it should be assumed until further notice that all training sessions at the VfB club centre as well as those at the training camp will not be open to the public.
