VfB’s summer timetable

The VfB first team will begin their preparations for the 2020/21 Bundesliga season on 3 August.

The VfB squad are currently enjoying a well-earned break, but the Cannstatt boys will soon have to begin their preparations for the 2020/21 Bundesliga season. On 3 August, head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo will get his players back together for the first collective session of pre-season at the club’s Mercedesstraße training ground. After two weeks of training in Stuttgart, the group will then head off on 22 August to their camp in Kitzbühel, Austria, where they will stay until 29 August.

The season will get under way on the weekend of 11-14 September with the first round of the DFB Cup. One week later (18-21 September), VfB begin the 54th Bundesliga campaign in the club’s history. Dates and kick-off times for both of those matches have yet to be confirmed.

Important notice:

Due to the ongoing situation with coronavirus, it is currently expected that the training sessions at the VfB club facilities and also those at the training camp will have to take place behind closed doors.
